Danielle Sweeney is passionate about the issues of social impact and the role of business in society. She is currently studying the International MBA at IE following a career working with Deloitte in the Finance Consulting department and as part of the Pro Bono Management team. Professional highlights include her work at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and her sabbatical spent working with Street Child, an NGO operating in Sierra Leone.
Mariana is currently coursing the International MBA at IE, following a career in Kraft Foods Venezuela, where she started as a trainee. She worked in the Marketing department, where adapt and anticipate were the key factors to still compete in an uncertain market as the Venezuelan. Her passion to help others in their development made her become a Certified Coach by Newfield Consulting. She loves dancing and she is passionate about creating a positive impact on organizations and society.
Pranav Chopra is an ex-Strategy Consultant having worked across USA, EMEA and Asia Pacific. He has experience in corporate strategy, business improvement and cost transformation across a range of industries. He is also involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures - Eat Me Chutneys, Jaune, Slumdog Travels - and is looking to get in to the social development space via the Venture Lab at IE. Pranav is a qualified Chartered Accountant and attained a BCom Honours degree in Accounting and a BCom degree in Accounting, Finance and Commercial Law.
As President of IE’s Net Impact Club, Jenna Swalin works with chapter members to find innovative ways to drive social and environmental change through business. Prior to attending IE, Jenna spent five years in nonprofit communications in Seattle, Washington, USA. Most recently, she worked for Initiative for Global Development (IGD), a network of business leaders that aims to catalyze economic growth and investment in Africa. As an undergraduate, Jenna attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. In her free time she enjoys traveling, sailing, snowboarding, and practicing yoga.
As a Technical Manager in the IT industry, over the past 10 years, Prasanna Srinivasan has lived and worked in a dozen countries across Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Passionate about social responsibility, he has participated in various corporate events to help raise fund for social causes. Prasanna has an under-graduate degree in Computer Science Engineering. With his IT skills and MBA from IE Business School, he desires to leverage on technology to create solutions for a greener world. In his leisure time, Prasanna enjoys travelling, hiking, cooking, learning martial arts and solving brain-teasers.
Luis Castillo has a background in procurement, planning and strategy in the telecommunications industry. Prior to attending IE, Luis was responsible for designing the financial plan and implementation for strategic projects focused on transmission, data, and operations for Telefonica Venezuela. He is currently managing operations for SRF 2014.
Emily Wood is currently pursuing a Master’s in Management at IE Business School, where she has received a scholarship for Young Global Talents from North America. She has a background and experience in Project Management and Sales and Marketing. Volunteering has also been a passion and she has had direct involvement with different international NGO’s including Young Life, Compassion International and Financieros sin Fronteras. Upon graduation from IE Business School she is looking for opportunities in areas of interest such as international development and trade, micro-financing, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
Prior to attending IE, Karla spent almost five years in the nonprofit industry in New York City, USA. There, she worked for the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, an initiative of the Clinton Foundation, which creates social enterprises to provide economic opportunities in the developing world. As an undergraduate, Karla attended The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, DC where she received a B.A. in International Affairs. During her free time she enjoys blogging, cooking, eating, dancing, traveling, reading and public speaking.
Christine holds a B.S. International Business and Marketing from Pepperdine University. Her professional background includes strategic roles at American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia as well as procurement and ecology at UBS. In addition to fundraising and mentoring with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, Christine is interested in health, nutrition and empowerment. She enjoys travel, cooking, yoga and taking her dog to the beach.
Lavinia is completing her International MBA at IE. As a member of the Net Impact Board she co-led IE's Impact Weekend, a social entrepreneurship workshop that brings together students and professionals across Spain to share ideas and develop socially responsible business plans. Prior to IE Lavinia worked as a Board Consultant at Lamarck in London. In this capacity she advised Boards and Executive Teams of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies on strategic turn-arounds and leadership effectiveness in Europe, Asia and the US. Lavinia has a B.A in Anthropology from Durham University. During her studies she conducted field research on the long-term sustainability of a polio intervention program in rural India.
