IE The 5th IE Social Responsibility Forum Net Impact

Speakers

In previous years, the forum had the privilege to host distinguished speakers such as Pamela Hartigan, now director of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, Mr Jeremy Leggett, chairman of Solar Century, and Jonathan Robinson, founder of The Hub as keynote speakers. The topics covered have ranged from Corporate Social Responsibility, Renewable Energies and Microfinance. The events enabled more than 400 students each year to interact with peers, professionals and international thought leaders.

2009 keynote speakers were Alfredo Careaga and Alejandro Litovsky. Dr Careaga is the president of Reddes, a foundation working with civil society in Latin America to achieve ecosystem conservation and autonomy for local communities. He was awarded the highest commend in Mexico for ecology: Mexican Award for Ecological Merit in 2004 for his passionate contribution to sustainable development and nature conservation. Mr. Litovsky is Head of the Pathways to Scale program at Volans, which is creating solutions and partnerships for scaling up the impact of social and environmental innovations and entrepreneurs. Volans is part think-tank, part consultancy, part broker and part incubator focusing on the business of social innovation.
